Feb 17, 2012 - @rtbuell2004 Does the ISO also backup the 100mb reserved by the windows 7 OS on disk formatting when you install? If not, is it necessary to do so?

Nov 12, 2011 - .... Now i believe all 4.6 GB data should have been copied on USB but instead it was only few MBs, so i copied backup files(.pbf etc) manually. Please let me know whether this way i would be able to create windows OS image. Cheers and thanks

Nov 12, 2011 - Hi rtbuell2004gr8 video there. I tried backup as shown in video just that i tried USB instead of CD/DVD. OS backup size was 4.6GB and pendrive size 7.4 GB. When i used the flash drive option in paragon media builder it formatted USB and copied some file after choosing typical option....

Jun 4, 2011 - I have a dual boot PC (Linux and Windows) would this option be able to back up the whole thing? There are a few partitions involved.

May 24, 2011 - FYI - P ATA drives on windows 2000 - the OS did not confine writing to the designated partition. Both the C and D drives had to be imaged and restored at the same time. Don't know if the same is true for xp, vista and 7 or sata drives.

May 16, 2011 - Did you get an error message? It should not be looking for an .img file. All it should do is create a rescue CD so you can use the CD to boot without booting from the hard drive. Did you click "create rescue CD", or something like that??

Apr 20, 2011 - Yes, I decided not to back up the MBR. In the past, I have just used the windows install disc and fixed the MBR that way. It is pretty easy to do and thus far I haven't had any issues. I suppose backing it up would be the best thing. If you would rather, feel free to check the MBR during back up. I guess it doesn't hurt to back it up even if you choose to use the windows CD. At least you have a copy just in case...
broggi007 Says:
Apr 19, 2011 - Hi rtbuell... another question if you'd be so kind! I noticed on the video that you chose to back up only "Logical Disc (C:)" and left the MBR unchecked. Now I understand that for most backups this would be ok, but what if the MBR becomes corrupted? Would you have to repair it with the original Windows install disc and then proceed to back up afterwards? I guess I'm just being paranoid! haha.. thanks in advance.
