Jan 24, 2012 - Does anybody? Is it even real?

Nov 29, 2011 - They released an awesome album called "Dualism" September 23, 2011. Why?
mattz1010 Says:
Nov 23, 2011 - I think what they're trying to say is it's as if the rest of the music was mixed down to a lower-than-acceptable level, then the vocals were simply "put on top" of it, rather than "inside" the rest of the mix. Hopefully I'm making sense.

Oct 21, 2011 - What happened to this band?

Oct 7, 2011 - I've always said djent as a kid to mimics the sound of the awesome chugging for all metal. From metallica. To korn. Even some linkin park riffs. Now periphery is my fave band along with textures contortionist and lamb of god. Its all metal. If it pleases ur ears. Listen to it. If its heavy. Its metal.
TranscendedIllusion Says:
Oct 6, 2011 - Do not want the vocals. For something that's stylistically related to the "djent" movement, this doesn't amaze me. I'm a djent fan boy, too. However, I have no doubt at all this will grow on me. So I'll keep listening!

Sep 28, 2011 - what is djent?
SinisterSkip Says:
Sep 26, 2011 - The vocals take a prominent role in Textures songs by the way they're very melodic in many times and a large percentage of what the song is about, especially on this album, hence why it's loud in the mix. It's not more than a logical choice imo. I'm a drummer and quite picky with mixes, but had no problems with the mix at all.

Sep 19, 2011 - And I fucking hate Periphery's singer. Whiny BS
White2098 Says:
Sep 19, 2011 - Daniel is one of my favorite singers, I love his voice. What I meant was the MIXING doesn't sound right. Textures' last album was more full and the music blended together very nicely with the vocals. I think its probably just because its their first crack at an album together. I love the cd and the more I listen the more I love it, but I'm holding back before I say its better or worse than Silhouettes. My main point was that his voice wasn't mixed into the music the way Eric's was.

Sep 18, 2011 - Most of coreish music sucks, but I like this!
Zuurkool1 Says:
Sep 18, 2011 - Unpolished? this is what a human voice sounds like, if you like more "polished" vocals go listen to periphery
unoffended Says:
Sep 17, 2011 - Oh my mistake. Just did some research. Well my original comment can still apply to this genre.
Zuurkool1 Says:
Sep 17, 2011 - They do, but i don't think they'd call themselves that, nor do i
Zuurkool1 Says:
Sep 17, 2011 - Nothing newish about them
tehpeasant Says:
Sep 17, 2011 - Newish? After 10 years?
unoffended Says:
Sep 17, 2011 - Hey a newish band with clean vocals that aren't sung in a wimpy whiny way, Who the fuck knew that existed?
Jasperroks Says:
Sep 15, 2011 - i think the new vocalist ads much more emotional layers to the vocals! Like it!
ArtificialFlavaFTB2 Says:
Sep 12, 2011 - I happen to think Spencer Sotelo's vocals are fucking godly. Listen to Jetpacks was Yes v2, Passenger (Haunted Shores) or Captain on, his vocals kick the most ass in those songs.
White2098 Says:
Sep 12, 2011 - The mixing doesn't sound right. I can't pin point it, but everything sounds to unpolished especially the vocals. Its almost sounds like somebody recorded the vocals over a prerecorded song they found online...
