May 20, 2012 - I like their makeup, but you don't have to wear a lot of makeup to be a pin up. Bettie Page didn't wear much makeup. I think all she usually wore was red lipstick and mascara. I don't even think she wore foundation. All the tutorials on here for her look tell you to use winged eyeliner, blush, eyeshadow and false lashes which isn't authentic, but still looks good.

Mar 11, 2012 - I personally think it's kind of boring that everyone follows THIS style, actually.Type in modern pin up on Google and you'll see the same thing: Too much makeup, platform shoes, tattoos, piercings, hardly any natural hair colors, sometimes implants, and the same dresses/poses/faces/settings over and over and over... I don't dislike the modern pinups, it'd just be nice if there was more variety. Even back in the day they used more facial expressions, settings, and outfits. *Shrugs*
