May 26, 2012 - Exactly! I actually found that with every new album. some stand out songs, but the rest were just "ok". then I gave them time to marinate in my mind.... what a tasty treat for the psyche.

May 26, 2012 - I've had the CD for several years. It's even a better without being on a "good trip" as you say. If you need that to help you enjoy the music. That's too bad. I did all that shit years ago and finally cleaned up my act 14 years ago. Today, I can't believe the literal beauty of music like this and I'd much rather listen to it like this.

May 3, 2012 - i don't hate the guy or anything. its just like tool constantly is about digging deeper, going further...evolving... "ride the spiral to the end". if you don't want to think too much then its like the music is falling on def ears. its the main theme of tool. if it just stops at "it makes me think too much" then whats the point? the band constantly advocates progress and if you feel the music makes you think too much how can it go anywhere if you can't put yourself into the music?

brofranomo Says:

May 3, 2012 - To each his own. Tools music is meant for those who have a deeper feeling and appreciation for music such as this song. Sometimes a bit deep for many.....

May 3, 2012 - met a person at a party once.. who played "jambi" and i was like "dude tool is my favorite band" he said "me too" we pounded the rock. then i said "dude aenema and lateralus are my favorite albums by them" he said "i didn't like those that much, its like you have to think too much to get into it" i just nodded my head as if to say "i understand what you just said... but you are wrong and missing the point" that was the end of the conversation and the last time i ever saw him. and i don't care

Apr 24, 2012 - I loved Lateralus, except for this song, only because I didnt give it a chance. Id only listen to the first 30 seconds and say "this is lame" Boy..now I can say i definatley love ALL of Lateralus. This is probably my favorite song off the album as well.

Apr 22, 2012 - If you take for instance some languages, that meanings/symbols are mathematics mappings are actually encoded into the language itself. The fabric of all things can be precipitated(vortex/centrifuged) into a simpler state of being and understanding which ultimately leads into all things and what we perceive as higher realms/possibilities. The Universe can be seen and understood/experienced through a single drop of water, a blade of grass or a grain of sand.....

johnny58689 Says:

Apr 22, 2012 - The nature of your reality/existence can be found within all things, life is a complicated poetry with an angelic rhythm urging you to pay attention and listen to it's divine message. Take the definition/nature of those definitions regarding the word Tool itself. Expand on those definitions/meanings with context and you will find that all Tools depending on the context or how you choose to spin(electron spin/matter) them(Good or bad, positive or negative) all things are Tools or teachers.

Yeshuah Ben Yoseph Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - This is easily my favourite piece of music that has been composed in the last hundred or so years. To me it is about ascension to Binah from the lowest part of Malkuth ( black = Black). To put that in plain English, enlightenment can be found even at the bottom of one's " self-indulgent pitiful hole" . However that is just my interpretation.

Yeshuah Ben Yoseph Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - The genre of music is "Tool".

henderson1722 Says:

Apr 4, 2012 - yes! absolutely. the same thing happened to me for rosetta stoned. i listened to it for the first time about 3 years ago when i first started listening to tool. I could not appreciate it what so ever. but yet, i could not stop listening to it. within a week it became my favourite tool song.. so weird.

VoodooProductionz Says:

Apr 4, 2012 - with every single one.. first it was, pushit, disposition, right in two, third eye.. its like tool subliminally makes you hate there songs just so they can make you love what you hate.. reverse psychology at its finest.

JUNKPARLOR Says:

Apr 4, 2012 - This tune gives me an adrenaline that I cannot describe, Tool are not just simply musicians they are scientists experimenting new textures of sound.
