HardFNRock Says:

May 4, 2012 - There are soooo many layers of music in this song. Perfect blend of that sound that you are used to and want to hear, and then they twist it all up! The drums have such a on and off sound and it blends together so F'N well. The guitars are fierce and do the same thing. The breakdown where he screams "come on come on", seriously, everyone here is lucky they're not next to me when I hear that part. If you ever get to see these guys live, you will know exactly what I'm saying. Phenomenal song!

Fryek89 Says:

Apr 17, 2012 - That's right, textures went backwards in time to steal periphery's theme for their song. GG.

Jan 25, 2012 - Viatrophy - Sea of Storms always reminds me of this song. Head smashing rhythms are so addicting.

bobandroger Says:

Jan 11, 2012 - I think rather than 'polymeters', it'd be more appropriate to use the term 'crossrhythms', for this song, particularly. :)

bobandroger Says:

Jan 11, 2012 - the snare and ride aren't in different time signatures, you nuffies; the cymbal is just triplets, break it down into snare and bass, and ride and snare, then combine them. It'll make much more sense that way

MrAnchell Says:

Jan 4, 2012 - Its an epic brutal song that makes me smash my head every time.

Clownpants98 Says:

Dec 25, 2011 - so now periphery has a monopoly on all things related to the mythology of icarus?

whatatweestify Says:

Dec 19, 2011 - Alright that makes sense, thank you.

froghawk Says:

Dec 19, 2011 - 3/4 is just 3 beats (a triple meter), whereas 6/8 is two groups of three beats (a compound meter). Do you hear how the snare hit comes on beat 4? That's the start of the second group of 3. The duple division of threes makes it 6/8.

whatatweestify Says:

Dec 19, 2011 - Can you explain how you can tell the cymbals and snare are in 6/8? I figured it was 3/4 but I'm very new to this kind of complex rhythmic stuff.

luke666808g Says:

Dec 16, 2011 - oh fuck off, it was played out long before Periphery, looked up Diablo you little bitch nigga.

weaponized666 Says:

Dec 15, 2011 - I felt like such a champ when I figured out how to play the main riff of this song...Love textures.

Oct 3, 2011 - Comparing these two songs? Comparing music? Man, some people are just dumb.

f1endslayer Says:

Oct 1, 2011 - ... Icarus Lives > this BS knock-off of an Icarus theme.

NACHOTHEIST Says:

Sep 27, 2011 - FINALLY someone else who knows what they're talking about! Haha I hate when people act like Polyrhythms and Polymeters are the same. They're so much different from each other. Intelligent music attracts musically intelligent people I suppose.
