May 26, 2012 - I don't know enough bands to be able to answer that question accurately, but they were one of the first to make it (relatively) big

AlexLococo Says:

May 25, 2012 - I think you all should stop talking about DT. It's one of my favourite bands, but, doesn't matter how much you like a BigMac, you don't go to taco bell and order one.

AlexLococo Says:

May 25, 2012 - They don't even play the same style.

May 20, 2012 - I would like dream theater if they got another singer. lol

trisnjok Says:

May 18, 2012 - NEVER shit on music you don't like, even if it's fucking Bieber. there is no "better band". if you say there is, you know shit about music, and don't deserve to comment about it. listen to the song and keep your mental pus to yourselves.. p.s. this brings back memories. Paul and Sean are great guys and i feel honored to be in their presence while they were sending a packed venue to musical nirvana. and to shake their hand and talk a bit afterwards was a gift i'll cherish for the rest of my life.

May 17, 2012 - I mean i think these guys are good but better than Dream Theater? NO WAY! Their album Images and Words beats anything made by these guys. These guys have a lot of talent and they have good sounds and melodies but Dream Theater are just masters at their instruments please don"t deny it.

WeIsDaTyrantz Says:

May 11, 2012 - Sounds like chorus/delay, possibly an ensemble effect too, but its a bit wierd to use that on guitar.

fallofthefleshgod Says:

May 10, 2012 - Does anybody know what kind echo effect Masvidal is using in the beginning of this song?

sm0kenmirrhurz92 Says:

Apr 23, 2012 - If anything Cynic was influenced more by Watchtower - they were the most overtly jazz influenced of the early prog metal bands.

CrackedStyle Says:

Apr 20, 2012 - you might like my band bispora. we dont sound exactly like cynic or anything, but we do incorporate different elements into our music.

cheekymonkey1979 Says:

Apr 18, 2012 - Uber-Crimson... which is a very good thing!

AlexK878 Says:

Apr 17, 2012 - This intro is quite similar to the one in "Neal and Jack and Me" by King Crimson. When I heard that song, I immediately started thinking about this song :D Both great songs!

lietuviu123 Says:

Apr 17, 2012 - Also, Continuo Renacer is a great example of instrumental progressive death metal/jazz fusion with definite Cynic's Focus-like influence

AlexLococo Says:

Apr 14, 2012 - I don't think so, while I love DT, they certainly do not share resemblance other than being influenced by jazz.

SSSavio Says:

Apr 14, 2012 - Atheist, Death, Exivious, Spiral Architect, Watchtower

cheese1678989 Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - Lolwut.

Apr 11, 2012 - What an ignorant opinion... Cynic's made by passion of people, simply.
