Mar 13, 2012 - really great tutorial - do you have tuts on getting those Arabic sounding melodies so often heard in goa/psy - I've been trying to pin down that feel for so long, but always seem to fall short. Thanks for sharing your knowledge

Aug 14, 2011 - Yes, I am changing the Filter Modifier Cutoff of course. Well thanks anyways.

Aug 14, 2011 - Hi - have you seen my video "Cubase VST Instrument Automation Tutorial"? I'll add it as a video response to this video as well. Make sure you change the Filter Modifier Cutoff and not the Master Filter Cutoff in Nexus for the best effect. If this is what you are already doing - then I'm afraid I'm not sure how to achieve cutoff below a value of 0.

marnon95 Says:

Aug 13, 2011 - Hi. I am making some leads with in Cubase 5 with my Nexus 2 plugin, and I'm having some problems changing the cut off. The problem is that the cut off knob is currently set to 0, but for the sound to change I'll have to turn the knob down (which means I'll get a negative number). And appearently Cubase 5 can't handle those negative numbers. And I was wondering if you would have any suggestions? I've already tried to turn the knob manually and it works just fine on other plugins like Sylenth. ty

Jul 24, 2011 - Hi Mike - can you explain a little bit more what you mean with expand the notes? If you want to make the notes longer in the piano roll, left click and hold the end of a note and drag to expand. If you are recording using a midi keyboard - hold the key longer to expand the notes.

May 3, 2011 - does someone knows how to do the part at 9:00 in Logic Express? I really want to know this! :)

ImphenziaMusic Says:

Apr 19, 2011 - Ok - I Googled 6/8 timing and got something else (see "time signature" on wikipedia) that's why I asked =)

DennisVlaanderen Says:

Apr 18, 2011 - uhm yeah that's what I meant 6/16 bars. 6/8 timing :P

ImphenziaMusic Says:

Apr 18, 2011 - Is that 6/8 timing? The melody is 6 bars in this tutorial (and not 16 bars) if that is what you mean? Fair point though - the melody is a bit on the short side =)

DennisVlaanderen Says:

Apr 16, 2011 - ugh 6/8 timing. sounds very awful in trance. Please everybody that tries this do stick to your regular 16 bar melody grid
