Dec 22, 2011 - Hmm... I don't think u even know what split toning is... Instead of being pure black and white, split toning creates a multicolor toning effect where the shadows and highlights are of two different colors.

leopoldfoto Says:

Sep 15, 2011 - You do make it to simple. You avoid problems and the explination ist shallow. Example: Vibrance an Saturations are different, but not so in your explination.

Sep 4, 2011 - "How to Use The Camera Raw Feature" with a JPEG FILE ?! EPIC FAIL !

r39525 Says:

Aug 30, 2011 - I have not used Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) so perhaps my assumption was wrong. I assumed that after you opened a raw file in ACR you would save it into Adobe Photoshop format, PSD, and thus not lose info to to compression. If that is true then why make adjustments in ACR? Why not wait until your photo is in Photoshop.

Azana Says:

Aug 30, 2011 - Adobe Camera Raw is used when you are shooting your own photographs, straight from your camera. When you open up a picture strait into Photoshop its the jpeg version. Jpeg is a compression it compresses the file and each time you save as a jpeg you lose more and more info. Importing into adobe camera raw allows you to work with the unadulterated photograph and then place it into Photoshop with all of its info (Not the best tutorial by the way not the best explanations) more? just msg me

r39525 Says:

Aug 10, 2011 - In this case I'm sure there are some things that can only be done in Camera Raw before converting the image into the Photoshop format. Perhaps there are other things that are best done in Camera Raw but could be done in PSD and then there are the things that can be done in Camera Raw but are better left to Photoshop tools in PSD.

r39525 Says:

Aug 10, 2011 - Why would I make all these adjustments in Camera Raw when I could do all this stuff using the regular Photoshop tools? Meaning no disrespect, I find that many tutorials describe how features work but gloss over when and why to use a feature.
