Feb 25, 2012 - How do you get an object on front or somewhere else on focus, while the lights are out of it and the effect works? The effect for me works only when everything is out of focus.

Feb 11, 2012 - Hi , in your video, you said that we need to set up the aperture as big as possible which turn the Fxx as small as possible, is that right? Sorry, I am a learner. Thank your for it....Nice Video

Jan 22, 2012 - hey! im kind of having a hard time doing this, cause every time i try this, the shape i cut out just makes it look like a frame, and doesn't have the cool bokeh effect like it's supposed to have :| any advice?

Dec 21, 2011 - I knew it was a good idea to save this in my favorites, now it's Christmas, let's have some fun ! Thanks ! ;)

Dec 17, 2011 - I do not have a camera with a removable SLR lens. I have been able to create hexagon bokeh effects using aperture priority mode (I do not know why it was hexagonal, my camera automatically makes light points hexagonal). Do you think that with my camera (a Canon powershot SX 130 IS) or any non-SLR camera, the shaped bokeh effect is possible?
KyleMovieStudios Says:
Dec 11, 2011 - wow i never knew this was possible thank you so much, now i can make an anamorphic blur (you know, the directional blur, where everything thats blurry with an anamorphic lens goes to an ovel shape :)

Nov 6, 2011 - thank you SO much for explaining the settings for the camera as well. So many other videos only explain how to make the actual filter.

Sep 4, 2011 - I have a question wont you get a lot of image noise if you use a cheap lens. would a prime lens do a better job in most cases and can I get shaped bokeh in film while filming and what type of lens would I need for that?
sacredgeometry Says:
Aug 30, 2011 - Largest aperture/ lowest f-stop sorry.
sacredgeometry Says:
Aug 30, 2011 - get as close as possible with the longest focal length and lowest aperture thats how you get the smallest dof :) enjoy

Aug 18, 2011 - My camera doesn't have a "fireworks" mode. I'm looking into upgrading.
TheRhiannonRees Says:
Aug 18, 2011 - Try Fireworks mode- most point-and-shoots have it, and it gives you a 2 second exposure.

Aug 11, 2011 - Same reason you get a normal rectangular picture through the circular lens
