InSingularity Says:

May 25, 2012 - And so this is why all the rebellious kids become great artists.

universalsailor Says:

May 24, 2012 - Well it's rather hard to know what equals creativity. Like "art" it has no agreed definition. I'd like to suggest that he's mistaking the chaotic thought of pre-school children for real creativity. No one would deny that Shakespeare, say, was creatrive. But what about Newton? What about Darwin? They both made connections never made before, which must be regarded as creative. And in all three cases they required a lot of formal knowledge to come up with the good stuff.

Mr6hero9 Says:

May 24, 2012 - Hes telling jokes during his presentation... That in itself equals creativity.

Mr6hero9 Says:

May 24, 2012 - Hes not talking about the teachers, hes talking about the ''Educational System''.

Mr6hero9 Says:

May 24, 2012 - 314 teachers.

Lord Destiny Says:

May 23, 2012 - Another speaker profiting from telling people what they want to hear. "Schools are bad." "You are good." "It's not your fault you aren't creative." "You'd be rich from your ideas if it wasn't for [scapegoat]." .................. Truth is, kids do it to themselves. Teachers are ALWAYS encouraging kids to be creative and use their imaginations. But...when a child sees that they don't have special talents they start to feel shame in trying and quit. Blaming teachers is baloney.

DistortionEngine Says:

May 23, 2012 - If the schools stop normalizing everything then the future is going to get relay weird, and when the going gets weird the weird turn pro.

SuperJay101010 Says:

May 23, 2012 - same to you bud. But i found that QED means "which was to be demonstrated" on Google. isn't that true???? thanks anyway for your sarcastic and extremism full bullshit ideas

arpeggiosonfire Says:

Agnes Rechab Says:

TheBlushnine Says:

May 22, 2012 - Anyone that promotes authoritarian propaganda and strict obedience? That pretty much includes anybody who works in any type of education institution. Schools, churches, media agencies, etc.

SuperJay101010 Says:

May 22, 2012 - what the hell does that mean???

AlladinGaffar Says:

May 22, 2012 - smart

Sofia Marmelad Says:

May 22, 2012 - super

universalsailor Says:

May 22, 2012 - Totally on the money with that comment. Ken Robinson's ideas are toxic as plutonium.

universalsailor Says:

May 22, 2012 - Ken is the Eddie Izzard of education, very personable and amusing, but his ideas are absolutely deadly. The opposite of what we should be doing. Look at his CV, and you'll find that he hasn't actually written any novels or misic or done anything notably creative ... he's an academic with a socialist knighthood (!) who's now worked his ticket to the US and is pontificating to Americans about how best to face their decline vis a vis China. All surface and no substance.

saitamme Says:

May 21, 2012 - this fearlessness of being wrong is akin to what happens in the brain when musicians improvise, so i'm not surprised that it applies to other types of creativity. great talk, thanks for uploading.

burword Says:

May 21, 2012 - Fantastic. A great teacher and thanks for sharing your knowledge. I loved the way you danced around humour and you had the audience in silence at your feet. When humour is around memory is abound. Thanking you.

VogonJ Says:

May 21, 2012 - Strange, fun guy, but wrong in so many things

universalsailor Says:

May 21, 2012 - Perfectly good video, but toxically stupid ideas.
