May 21, 2012 - meshuggah, meshuggah... no reason to say "bad djent, no messugah". hate this kind of comment. It's like compare Iron maiden & ac/dc, both are...

EndOfWill Says:

May 20, 2012 - I'm not overly into it. I can dig Meshuggah obviously. They're amazing. As for "djent" bands, the only ones I can get to are Vildhjarta and a little Volumes.

Nicholosity Says:

May 20, 2012 - But it sounds good though

EndOfWill Says:

May 20, 2012 - I personally don't think it's a genre. But everybody tells me it is. I don't really care either way. But you're right. Originally it was just the sound of a muted chord with a shitton of distortion.

Nicholosity Says:

May 20, 2012 - Djent is more of just a style of playing rather then an entire genre. I think its suppost to represent the heavily distorted chord that the guitarist from meshuggah uses

May 9, 2012 - red skittles are my favourite sir...i will not sit here and let you insult my candy of preference!

Armdude101 Says:

Apr 24, 2012 - I love this album art, notice how the waves slowly fade to red as they get farther away. So much meaning.

ThePurgatoryfire Says:

Apr 1, 2012 - BULLSHIT!!! Red skittles are the best, you suck 1111 /rage /rage /patented-metal-fan-rage-re-directed-towards-another's-opinion-in-a-metaphor The internet is full of rage, we should ban humans from it...

EndOfWill Says:

Mar 7, 2012 - I love meshuggah. I personally don't classify them as djent, but if they are/were, the only djenty bands I like are Meshuggah, Vildhjarta, and some Volumes is alright I guess. But I dislike a lot of djent. But I like most prog metal.

deathwishy Says:

Mar 7, 2012 - While I think your comparison between metal and candy to be very humorous and correct, I disagree with your last sentence. I love Meshuggah and the like as much as I like prog metal.

TerryMaq Says:

Mar 1, 2012 - The ending is so sweet haha - mind blown.

EndOfWill Says:

Feb 29, 2012 - Prog Metal is a subgenre, or branch of metal. Djent would be a branch of prog metal. I realize you must be slow, so I will put it in a way you can understand. Metal=Candy. Prog Metal=Skittles. Djent=Red Skittles. Let me break that down. Candy (Metal) is the blanket term that applies to all candies. Skittles (prog metal) are just ONE type of candy. But, not all skittles are the same. There are all different colors. Djent is just the worst skittle.

X99lionheart Says:

Feb 29, 2012 - Prog Metal is already a Sub-genre dumbass.

EndOfWill Says:

Feb 16, 2012 - To me, this doesn't sound like djent. It sounds like prog metal.

EndOfWill Says:

Feb 16, 2012 - I don't like djent at all.. but I'd prolly call it a subgenre of prog metal.

Dizzledanson Says:

Feb 14, 2012 - It is true jack ass

wolfmantough Says:

Feb 13, 2012 - WHOA SHIT, YOU GUYS CAN QUOTE WIKIPEDIA?! well if it's on wikipedia, it must be true.

Dizzledanson Says:

Feb 13, 2012 - @oaklandrmoss18...."words fall from your mouth, like shit from ass"

Dizzledanson Says:

Feb 13, 2012 - "djent" is a sub-genre of progressive metal. The word is "onomatopoeic," which is a word that imitates or suggest the source of the sound that it describes. Like "roar" or "meow". In this case, somebody tried to mimic what the low tuned chord sounded like from their p.o.v. - It's dumb, but that's how this shit was started. I personally believe "Nothing" by Meshuggah is the first "djent" record.

oaklandrmoss18 Says:

Feb 12, 2012 - Meshuggah created the term Djent = they described their style of music with the word Djent = not the way their guitar sounded = Djent technically is a genre = shut the fuck up all you douche bags who think you know it all

oaklandrmoss18 Says:

Feb 12, 2012 - Meshuggah invented the fucking term Djent. They described it as the style of music they played, not the sound of their guitar. So unless you mean to tell me the people who invented the term dont know what they are talking about, shut the fuck up.

TheMan750 Says:

Feb 9, 2012 - The cover remind me of something from Samuari Jack
