May 22, 2012 - I think AJ got his influence for this song from Chopin's Nocturne Op 9 No 1! The bass clef from that song sounds very similar to this song! And also "the child is gone" and "and thieves wear crowns" part sound like very similar to a part in Nocturne:p I love the classical stuff, real G.:)

May 5, 2012 - I don't know if this is a fact, but I assume this song is about Friedrich Nietzsche. I don't know his philosophy inside and out, but I think the gist of it is that he felt humans had lost their ability to reason after Socrates and also lost their morality. Which would fit in perfect with the "I'm a sick man, I'm a wicked man" and "We're all lost" lines. My evaluation of Nietzche's philosophy is probably not that great so I suggest you do a little research of your own. It's pretty interesting.
